About us

We are Verified AB, located in Sweden and active in the field of forensic linguistics since 2004, specialising particularly in dialect attribution. Our mission is to help migration authorities, the police and other organisations and parties clarify a person’s linguistic background by analysing the latter’s use of language.

To that purpose, we have developed our own specific methodology and we employ several trained linguists, who work together with a vast network of native-speaker analysts, enabling us to analyse over 90 language-country combinations, a portfolio we are constantly updating through sustained research, based on our clients’ needs and requirements. Over the years, Verified has conducted many thousands of analyses and continues to contribute both to the development of its field of expertise and to solving the challenges of modern migration.

Our linguists have decades of experience between them and specialise in a variety of languages, such as Arabic, Somali, Kurdish, Persian, as well as a growing selection of Sub-Saharan languages, among others. Being constantly faced with unique cases that bring new challenges and questions to elucidate, they continue to expand their knowledge through research and training and to seek ways to harness resources in order to best meet our client’s needs.

However, their work could not be carried out without the input of our carefully selected native-speaker analysts, whose skills are tested both before and during our collaboration and honed through training and individual guidance to ensure reliability and efficiency.
