Research

LOID is a specialty within the field of speaker profiling. In contrast to its somewhat older sister disciplines speaker identification and speaker verification, very little research is published in this area. What is more, given the dynamic nature of both language and migration, the Verified team is constantly faced with new and unique cases that bring new challenges and questions to elucidate.

Research is therefore a deeply embedded component of Verified’s activity, mainly for the improvement of its own performance, but also to increase the scientific base of the field.

Verified liaises with researchers and specialists in relevant areas on an ad-hoc basis and partakes in and contributes to conferences and publications, particularly concerning forensic linguistics.
